A Chinese lady with primary carcinoid tumour of right ovary was presented. The typical feature of flushing of face was not taken seriously and this differential diagnosis was not considered before the operation. Failing that, complete debulking and follow up by 24 hours urine 5-HIAA (5-hydroxyindole-acetic acid) assay were the adequate treatment for her. A literature review for the primary carcinoid tumour of ovary was reviewed and the differentiation from secondary carcinoid tumour to ovary from the primary site in the bowels was discussed.
